What to expect

Wintertime in Fairbanks is pristine, beautiful. We usually have cold and dark nights – perfect conditions for seeing and photographing the Aurora. Since our tours are private you will not be sharing the experience with an unknown group of tourists. Expect to stay up late, as an example, minimum from 10 pm to 2 am. We will have a warm private vehicle and provide you with snacks and drinks while we hunt for the Aurora. We can also help you with a tutorial and settings if you want to take your own Aurora photographs with your own gear.

Itinerary

Day before or day of the tour:
Prior to pick up we will discuss the current Aurora forecast, including Aurora activity, weather (clouds, moon phase, and other factors) and make a plan for the evening and night.
